  1. Temperatures will be well below freezing in Cobb County through the rest of this week and into the next. By tonight (Dec. 22), the low will have dropped to an icy 13 degrees. The temperature is expected to remain below freezing until at least Monday of next week. Freezing rain, ice, and snow are also expected over the weekend. (MDJOnline.com)
  2. On Monday, the Smyrna City Council voted 6-0 to allow a mixed-use development to take over the location of a popular Smyrna restaurant. Ken's Corner Grill closed in early May after almost 50 years of serving the residents of Symrna. The new development will be located at Atlanta Road and Church Street. The development will have 24 residential lofts as well as commercial areas. (Cobb County Courier)
  3. Two cop cars were damaged in a high speed chase through Cobb County. Early Wednesday morning, police received word about a potential car break-in at the RiverVue Apartments at River Parkway in Vinings. The suspect was spotted at the scene, but when officers tried to intervene he crashed into two cop cars before fleeing down Cobb Parkway. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
