1. Smyrna's Green Acres Elementary School has been selected as the first Hank Aaron All-Star School winner. The school will now be supported by the Atlanta Braves. The organization will be offering classroom funding, upgrades to school facilities, and students' school supplies. The school hopes to use the support to implement a food pantry and a school uniform policy. (WSBTV)
2. Cobb County's average cost of regular unleaded gasoline is currently $3.22 per gallon. That price is about two cents higher than the state average of $3.20 per gallon.
