According to jail records, the man is being held in the Cobb County Sheriff's Office with no bond.

SMYRNA, GA — A suspect who authorities say was shot while running away from Cobb police Friday has been identified by the GBI as Isaiah Stewart, 18.

The GBI named Stewart as one of the four people who led Cobb police on a chase in a Toyota Rav 4 after officers tried to pull them over around 2:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Winchester Parkway.

Authorities said the four people were suspects who had broken into multiple cars in the area.

Stewart hid in a manhole after being shot, and was then taken into custody, according to the GBI. He was treated for injuries that were not life threatening at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, authorities said.
