1. The Cobb County International Festival returns this year on Saturday, Aug. 27 at Jim R. Miller Park! 3. Cobb County Animal Services Shelter will remain closed for several weeks due to a confirmed case of "Strep Zoo." Staff proactively quarantined a portion of the shelter when a dog suddenly became ill, later confirming the canine's diagnosis. As of Saturday, no other animals have displayed symptoms; nonetheless, the shelter will administer antibiotics and conduct a thorough cleaning before reopening. (11Alive.com WXIA)
