In Loving Memory of Doris Hart Belflower, 77

Doris Hart Belflower of Smyrna, GA passed away peacefully on August 9, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Carmichael Funeral Home Chapel in Smyrna with Revs’ Phil Miller and Justin Rader officiating. Interment will be in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Andrew Belflower, Sr, her son James “Kent” Belflower and her parents Lacy and Lassie Hart. She leaves behind her son Aubrey “Andy” Belflower and his wife Tiffany of Suwanee, GA; two daughter-in-laws, Debra Love Belflower of Powder Springs, GA, Nina Belflower of Whitesburg, GA ; 4 beautiful grandchildren, Courtney and Lacey Belflower of Whitesburg, GA and Bryan and Ava Belflower of Suwanee, GA; one great grandchild, Maddox Brewer. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved unconditionally, lived her life to help others and laughed often. Doris spent 35 years in the banking business before retiring. Her time over recent years had been dedicated to helping others. Doris volunteered for Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief. She was an active member of her First Baptist Church of Smyrna and found happiness in helping those less fortunate. Her love was with the children of the church. Whether teaching Sunday school or volunteering with Upwards Sports, she always greeted everyone with a smile and a laugh. Doris never faltered to comfort and assist someone in need. She was an inspiration to all and will truly be missed. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:30 PM Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna (770)435-4467
