In Loving Memory of Gertrude Brownlee Gussie Cosper, 100

Mrs. Gertrude Brownlee Gussie Cosper celebrated her 100th year. She passed away Monday, November 2, 2015. Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Thursday, November 5, 2015 in the Chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna with Rev. Leon Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta. Mrs. Cosper was born in Stone Mountain and was a member of Ponders Baptist Church. She was a former employee of A&P Bakery , Crescent Neckware and later retired from Montag Stationary Company and was a foster parent for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her husband James Robert Cosper, Daughter- Flora Camp Weems, Sister- Dorothy Goza , Brothers- Clyde ,Dallas and Martin Alton Brownlee and a Grandson-Brian Keith Weems, and Son-in-Law Bud Smith. Surviving are: Daughter- Janice Cosper Smith of Waco TX, Grandchildren- Sheryl & Kenneth Weems Shields of Powder Springs, Barry Kevin & Rhonda Weems of Hiram, Brent Kyle Weems of Smyrna, Stephanie (Henley) Woodard & John Woodard of Mableton and Michael Green of Mableton. Great Grandchildren-Kenny Shields, Brittany Shields, Laura Weems, Peyton Weems, Desiree Scott, Kagan Andrew and J.P. Woodard. The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 1 PM before the service on Thursday at Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna
