Marietta Man Arrested in Smyrna Hotel Slaying
Troy Lann is in Cobb County jail after being found by law enforcement at his mother's home in South Carolina.
A Marietta man is behind bars at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on Monday after being apprehended in South Carolina in connection with a fatal shooting in a Smyrna hotel.
Troy Lann, 33, is charged with one count of murder and aggravated assault, according to the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office.
He was arrested at his mother’s home in Chester County, South Carolina on Friday. Law enforcement agencies, including the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Marshals, had been searching for him for about a week.

Cobb law enforcement officers responded to a call at the Cumberland Lodge in Smryna on Nov. 27 and found gunshot victim Shawn Moore inside a room, Sheriff’s spokesman Robert Quigley told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Acquaintances rushed Moore to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
