Missing Cobb Woman Allegedly Killed, Dismembered by Jealous Boyfriend
Laneesha Miller's remains were discovered in four suitcases in the Chicago area late last week.

The boyfriend of a Marietta woman who had been missing since June was arrested after her body was found dismembered in a Chicago-area river late last week, according to reports.
Paul Meyers allegedly attacked and killed Laneesha Miller hours after she called her father to wish him a happy Father’s Day, the Chicago Tribune says. Meyers allegedly heard a recording on Miller’s cell phone in which she discussed having sex with another man, sending him into a jealous rage, prosecutors say.
Prosecutors say Meyers hit Miller in the head with a hammer, choked her to death, then wrapped her body in a shower curtain and placed it in the trunk of her car. Meyers drove around for a while in Miller’s car, deciding what to do with the body. Eventually, prosecutors allege, Meyers decided to dismember Miller’s body and place the remains in four suitcases.

Meyers’ brother Arronis Jackson helped Meyers dispose of the suitcases in a nearby river, but police do not believe he was involved in the death or dismemberment of Miller. The suitcases containing Miller’s remains were discovered on Thursday, the Tribune says.
Meyers has been charged with first degree murder, while Jackson faces charges of concealing a homicidal death.
