Here are the top three stories today in Smyrna-Vinings:

1. A 36-year-old man, Deandra Benson-Perryman, has been charged with murder and aggravated assault after being found with the victim at a Vinings apartment. The victim, 31-year-old Timothy Bennett, had been shot multiple times and was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Benson-Perryman is currently being held in the Cobb County Jail without bond. 2. A mass Valentine's Day wedding ceremony is scheduled to occur at 6:00 p.m. today in the Cobb County Magistrate Court. Participants must bring a valid marriage license issued by a Georgia probate court and are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to check-in. The ceremony will take place on the third floor of Building D, where a photo booth and light refreshments will be provided for the newlyweds. (Patch)
3. On Sunday, Feb. 12, the Rotary Club of Vinings Cumberland served a Super Bowl dinner to 200 men at the Atlanta Mission's Shepherd's Inn. The meal consisted of wings, sausage and beans, rice, potato salad, bread, and BBQ ribs served at halftime. Ten members and their families participated in the event to provide a festive meal for the residents of Shepherd's Inn. (Rotary Club of Vinings Cumberland via Facebook)

• On Friday, Smyrna Library hosted a free mixed-media art workshop for an early Valentine's Day celebration. • The Smyrna Public Safety Foundation has announced its second annual golf tournament, happening on Apr. 17 at Brookstone Golf & Country Club. The tournament will help raise money to support partnerships between the community and its public safety personnel. Registration is $600 per foursome or $150 for a single ticket.
