- The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has fined Dollar General for repeat violations at Smyrna stores. The fines are approximately $1.3 million for various violations that include obstructed exit routes, precariously stacked boxes, and hard-to-access electrical panels. There were also violations at Pembroke and Hogansville stores. (SHRM)
- Smyrna's Dr. Keith Jeffords will be paying $100,000 in penalties for continuously prescribing opioids to patients. The Georgia Composite Medical Board has suspended his medical license and has barred him from applying for a DEA registration for five years. He is a plastic surgeon. (Yahoo News)
- The Cobb County Police Department is searching for a shooting suspect. An individual was shot on Virginia Place in the arm on Tuesday morning in Marietta. The woman was taken to Kennestone Hospital for treatment and is in stable condition. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the department. (WSBTV)

- Beginning on Sep. 6, the West Cobb and Mountain View public libraries will start accepting passport applications. Appointments will be required. (Cobb County Library System)
- The next Smyrna Food Truck Tuesday will be next Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at Taylor-Brawner Park. The series continues through Sep. 27. (City of Smyrna)
