Police Looking For Heavily Damaged Pickup In Fatal Hit And Run
The incident happened Thursday evening at South Cobb and Ask Kay drives in Smyrna.

SMYRNA, GA -- Police are investigating a Thursday evening hit and run that left one person dead. The incident happened around 6:40 pm on Jan. 17, when a pedestrian was struck at the intersection of South Cobb and Ask Kay drives.
The suspect vehicle is described as an early 2000 model white Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck with heavy damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle and has a large tool box mounted in the bed of the truck. A red, white and blue “USA-1” license plate is mounted on the front bumper.
The suspect vehicle is bearing a Georgia license plate, which possibly read “RFM369” or “RFN369” and was last seen heading southbound on South Cobb Drive toward Concord Road operated by a Hispanic male between the ages of 20-30.

Smyrna police are is also trying to identify the victim. The victim is a black male with medium brown complexion and is between the ages of 50 and 60. At the time of the accident, the victim was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and dark colored pants. The victim had a keyring with a Boost mobile lanyard attached to it.
