- The first Santa Stops By night of the 2022 holiday season begins this evening. Santa will be stopping by registered homes between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. tonight. Santa will visit with families for about 10 minutes each. Registration for the program opened on Nov. 7. There is a $40 fee to participate. Residents can still register at this link. (City of Smyrna)
- A group of thieves has stolen Smyrna's Christmas lights. The Smyrna Police Department has nicknamed the thieves "the Grinch and his thieving friends." The theft occurred on Thanksgiving weekend. Several thousands of dollars worth of light displays were stolen. The City of Smyrna owned the lights. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department. (WSBTV)
- A Cobb County Library staff member has been chosen for the Emerging Leaders Program. The program is provided by the American Library Association. Vidhya Jagannathan is a Senior Library Assistant at the North Cobb Regional Library. She is working on her Masters in Library Information Science and has a bachelor's degree in chemistry.
