  1. Thursday's storm caused extensive damage throughout Georgia, including in Cobb County. Dozens of homes and businesses reported damage, and storm debris closed several roads. Some of the most severe damage in the county was in nearby Austell, where the wall of a warehouse was destroyed. The county requests residents report damage through an online portal.   2. Cobb County plans to spend $10 million on renovations of a 50-year-old section of sewer line near the Cobb Galleria. The project plans to replace the iron pipe originally used in the line with larger PVC pipe. (Yahoo! News)
  3. The city council in nearby Marietta recently approved the development of around 600 homes on currently unincorporated land off of Bells Ferry Road. Cobb County had attempted to oppose the decision, and some local residents expressed concerns with the development plans. (Yahoo! News)
