Here are the top three stories in Smyrna-Vinings today:

1. The final Smyrna Area Council of the year will be hosting a panel of education experts to discuss newly graduated students entering the workforce. The panel will take place on Dec. 14. (Press Release Desk)
2. The community down the road in Buckhead held a candlelight vigil for a local woman who had been stabbed at her home in a gated community. Authorities believe the woman was killed when attempting to approach someone stealing her car. (11Alive.com WXIA)
3. Authorities recovered the body of a person killed after becoming buried in a trench in Smyrna over the weekend. On Monday, officials reported that the worker was doing repairs on the home's foundation when a wall collapsed. (The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
