- On Friday, Sep. 30, Smyrna's Creatwood Tavern will be hosting Smyrna is Fabulous. The monthly Pride Night and Dinner will start at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of the event is to celebrate Symrna's LGBTQ+ community and allies while building partnerships founded on social equality. - Cobb County gas prices continue to fall despite Hurricane Ian. A gallon of gas in Cobb County is currently averaging $3.25. The county's gas average is about 15 cents higher than Georgia's average. Hurricane Ian is causing the national gas price to tick higher as the storm slams into the Gulf of Mexico. (Cobb County Courier)
- Yesterday, the Atlanta Braves visited the White House. Despite the team's slow start last year, the team managed to make it to the playoffs where they won their first World Series title since 1995. The team's home stadium, Truist Park, is in suburban Cobb County. President Biden supported MLB moving the All-Star game from Truist Park to Denver. (Washington Post)
