Smyrna Man Killed In Fiery Crash On Alabama-Georgia Line

Daniel Yarizadeh​, 31, was killed Monday when his BMW collided head-on with a 2007 Toyota Camry in Russell County, Alabama.

SMYRNA, GA -- A Smyrna man died in a fiery crash this week near the Georgia-Alabama line, according to news reports. Daniel Yarizadeh, 31, was killed Monday when the BMW he was driving collided head-on with a 2007 Toyota Camry in Russell County, Alabama.

Yarizadeh's car caught fire in the wreck, which included a third vehicle -- a 2010 Kia Soul -- which was damaged in the crash, according to Columbus Ledger-Enquirer.

Yarizadeh was not using a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle, the newspaper reports. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash injured the driver of the Toyota as well, who was hospitalized.

The incident happened about 4:30 p.m. on Alabama State Route 165 near Cedar Heights Road, according to WRBL.
