- The Smyrna Veterans Committee and The American Legion Post 160 will be holding their Veterans Day ceremony on Friday. This annual tradition will start at 11:00 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial near Smyrna City Hall. The keynote speaker is CH (CPT) Leland Jones Georgia Army National Guard Chaplain HHC 265TH; 201st BDE Rear Detachment; Chaplain for RRBN. The entire community is invited to attend. (City of Smyrna)
- A judge has agreed to extend the deadline to return absentee ballots for Cobb County voters that didn't receive their ballots due to a failure by election officials. - Cobb County dispatch is still struggling with a staffing shortage. Nearly 20 percent of Cobb County's 911 operators quit within the last year. The operators are reportedly tired and burnt out.
