Here are the top three stories today in Smyrna-Vinings:

1. AAA, the Auto Club Group, is offering its Tow to Go service for Smyrna-Vinings residents beginning today at 6:00 p.m. to Tuesday at 6:00 a.m. The service is meant to keep drunk drivers off Cobb County roads during the Labor Day weekend. The service should still be treated as a last resort, however. Residents are encouraged to coordinate designated drivers. (Cobb County Courier)
2. The next public hearing regarding the Cobb County trash services proposal is scheduled for Sep. 13. The county's commissioners are ensuring residents that they are listening to concerns about the proposal and that no decision has been finalized. The proposal is meant to address ongoing trash service issues by creating four trash pick-up zones and designating one hauler per zone. (CBS46)
3. The latest COVID-19 report for Cobb County has been released by the Georgia Department of Public Health. According to the report, there were 1,845 new COVID-19 cases over the last 14 days.
