  1. The Cobb Board of Commissioners recently announced its support to spend $500,000 on an outside consultant to help county staff create a Unified Development Code. Three Democrats voted in favor and the two Republicans opposed in the three to two vote. The consultant has been identified as Clarion Associates, LLC, a nationwide land-use and planning consulting firm that has provided services for a UDC in Hall County and design and development guidelines in Savannah.   2. The City of Smyrna has announced a joint Town Hall Meeting for Wards 1, 2, & 3 will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022. The meeting will take place between 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of A. Max Bacon City Hall - 2800 King Street, Smyrna. View the agenda on the flyer at the link.   3. Cobb County Police have arrested a man identified as Randy Irby-Anderson after reports trickled in of him exposing himself at Jonquil Park in Smyrna. A witness spoke to investigators about the incident in the park on Friday afternoon. Police suspect Irby-Anderson may have mental health issues and is homeless. This is the first incident of indecent public exposure in Smyrna in years, say police. (WSB-TV 2)
