- A suspect was indicted for a murder committed in August. As of yesterday (Dec. 16), Ambakisye Mizell was indicted in the deadly August shooting of Demetrius Dow at a Vinings apartment complex. He has been charged with malice murder, three counts of felony murder, aggravated assault, and an attempt to commit armed robbery. He is held without bond. (Subscription: MDJ Online)
- Get an extra dose of holiday cheer in Smyrna this weekend. Looking for a Christmas activity to do with the family? The City of Smyrna has several great events happening. Today (Dec. 17), you can drive around the city to enjoy your neighbor's light displays as part of Smyrna Bright Nights or attend a pop-up craft event at Smyrna History Museum & Train Depot.
