Vinings to Launch Keeping Pace Campaign

The campaign launched by Vinings Historic Preservation Society aims at raising $250,000 in 2013 to help preserve local historic sites.

The Vinings Historic Preservation Society (VHPS) will officially launch the Keeping Pace Campaign on Nov. 10. It is being launched in conjunction with several restoration projects to enhance and update the historic properties in Vinings.

Donations from local residents have been put to work, contributing to the recently completed Yarborough House repair project, as well as The Pace House and The Pavilion that are still in need of significant repair.

The Yarborough House project was able to refurbish the exterior of the historic building by removing lead-based paint, repairing the chimney and the fence, improving signage and curb appeal, and replacing the roof.
