What's Open, Closed For Labor Day 2021 Around Smyrna, Vinings

SMYRNA-VININGS, GA — Labor Day 2021 will be celebrated on Monday, Sept. 6, marking the unofficial end of summer.
While most schools, banks and government offices will be closed in observance of the holiday, many businesses and some services will be operational as usual.
Here are the openings/closings to be aware of for Labor Day:

- Cobb County government offices and courts are closed Monday.
- Municipal offices for the city of Smyrna are closed on Monday.
- The Cobb County Public Library system is closed Monday for in-person and curbside services; however library's digital resources are available 24/7. Normal hours resume Sept. 7.
- Smyrna garbage pick up: For residents within the city of Smyrna's city limits, Monday trash pickup routes will be delayed by a day.
- The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority will operate bus, rail and Atlanta streetcar services on Sunday schedules for the Monday holiday.
- This is a federal holiday and all U.S. Postal Service post offices are closed Monday. There will be no mail delivery or pickup, with the exception of Priority Mail Express, which is delivered 365 days per year.
- All banks will be closed.
- Many retailers will be open for normal or adjusted hours on Labor Day. Check here.
