• Local Students Participate in Georgia College Commencement (monroelocal.org) — A Social Circle resident, Alexa Wykoff, has earned her nursing degree and took part in Georgia College & State University’s Winter 2025 commencement in Milledgeville. She joined several other Walton County-area students walking the stage as the university highlighted its strong academic rankings and hands-on learning programs. 
• Oconee County wrestling wins Classic City Championship (oconeeenterprise.com) — Oconee County’s wrestling team recently defeated Social Circle 54–26 at the Tommy Warren Memorial Duals, part of a strong early-season run that also included big wins over George Walton and Chattahoochee. Coach Al Yauck credits senior leadership and improving underclassmen as the Warriors prepare for their next meet at Monroe Area High School.
