The Cobb Police Explorers competed in the 2012 Law Enforcement Exploring National Championship in Fort Collins, Colorado recently. Cobb took two teams of four and competed in a total of six events. Cobb County placed second, out of almost 100 teams in the nation, in the burglary in progress category. Both teams finished in the top 10 percent in four out of the six events they competed in.
This year the Cobb Police Explorers were also recognized for having over 2,500 hours of community service and for winning the Presidential Community Service Award for the last 5 years. This year there were 4,500 explorers at nationals making it the largest event ever held for Law Enforcement Explorers.
Congratulations to the Cobb Explorers and to the advisors, Detective Creamer, Officer Chilton and Office Higgins for providing leadership to the team. Keep up the good work!
