Center for Companies That Care (www.companies-that-care.org) announced that Wellstar Health System was included in its 10th Annual Honor Roll list.
The Honor Roll, a national list recognizing employers for outstanding workplace practices and active community involvement, includes both privately-held and public-traded organizations, as well as not-for-profit employers.
Those companies attaining this designation respect employees and are committed to community service. They demonstrate 10 Characteristics that include appreciating people, developing great leaders, and giving back. This uniqueness defines the standard for all organizations that strive to be recognized as great places to work and positively impact the community.

“Since its inception 10 years ago, many things have changed in our country and our business climate, but what has not changed is that the companies on this list, like those before them, exemplify the best of the best,” says Marci Koblenz, co-founder and president, Center for Companies That Care. “We are pleased to recognize these organizations that have remained connected with their employees and communities to understand their needs and exceed their expectations. They have not enabled tough times to prevent them from truly valuing their employees and staying involved in their communities.”
Two key components of the selection process are a written application and employee survey results. Honor Roll recipients will be officially honored at a conference in Chicago in May.
