The majority of the elected officials for Mableton are representatives of people of color
Fact, city of Mableton is majority African American and Hispanic.
All the schools in Mableton are classified as economically disadvantaged.
55 percent of the youth reside in corporate landlord managed apartments, who attend Riverside Elementary School and City View Elementary School.
Majority of people being evicted in Cobb County are people of color
If the community looked like this in other parts of Cobb County. The parents, community stakeholders (and their lawyers) would be engaged in activities that would be attending meetings hosting townhall meetings every day. All government entities would be convening a special session of the state legislature. The mayors, commissioners, state representatives, senators would be making personal visits and commitments promising immediate change. The universities, business associations, and community organizations would be holding forums and meetings. Churches would be holding all night vigils. The media would keep the story on page one until the system was changed. If the victims of such horrendous living conditions were not black or brown, there would have been an aggressive plan in place with real results.
Depriving most of the youths of chances of successful futures. The city officials, government officials are supposed to maintain peace and order as well as look after the welfare of the people in the county. Corporate landlords, government personnel are depicted as largely shared responsibility for the horrendous living conditions in the apartments particularly in the Mableton (Austell) community,
