Firefighter, 2 Others Injured In Blaze At Cobb Home
An officer found an unconscious resident and "dragged her out of the burning house" while crews battled a Cobb County blaze.
POWDER SPRINGS, GA — A house blaze injured three people, including a firefighter, Friday morning in the 3000 block of Flowering Springs, Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services said.
Crews responded around 5 a.m. to the massive house fire to find flames blowing from the front windows and the front door, fire officials said.
While firefighters were tending to the blaze, fire officials said a bystander notified an officer that someone was still inside the home.

The officer then forced their way into the house through a side door, found the unconscious resident and "dragged her out of the burning house," fire officials said.
CPR was administered to the resident, and she was taken to a hospital. Her status was not immediately known.

A second resident had already escaped the home before first responders arrived; however, the person suffered smoke-related injuries, fire officials said. They were also taken to a hospital, fire officials said.
Additionally, a firefighter suffered smoke-related injuries, fire officials said. The front interior of the house was heavily damaged.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
