Rep. Wilkerson Announces Re-election Campaign

On July 20, 2010, you elected me to be your voice in the Georgia House of Representatives. I had recently finished my term as chairman of the Cobb County Democratic Party and worked with many of you during the historic election of President Barack Obama.

It has been an honor to serve you for the past two years. As a legislator, I have had some tough decisions to make, which impacted the lives of Georgians. I am proud to say that your input has always guided those decisions I made and the votes I have cast.

There is still work to be done at the Capitol. We continue to face tough economic times, and traditional public education is under attack. I want to be there to represent you.

I have decided to seek re-election to the Georgia House. While my district has not changed significantly, I will have a new district number because of reapportionment. I will now be running in the 38th House District.

I ask today for your continued support and your vote on July 31 in the Democratic Primary.
