South Cobb Biz Briefs: Play Santa at Networking Event

The Mableton Business Exchange will hold its monthly after-hours networking event this evening from 5:30 to 7:30. Guests are asked to bring a new unwrapped toy, children's clothing donations or a $10 donation, which will benefit the Christian Aid Mission Partnership of Austell. The event takes place at CAMP facility located at 6289 Veterans Memorial Highway in Austell.

South Cobb Business Association and other local business groups packed the house at the SCBA's annual holiday event. Guests brought dozens of unwrapped toys for Cops for Kid. Children who may otherwise not receive gifts on Christmas are able to shop with police through the donated toys.

Some children will have a chance to ride in squad cars and pick out toys at the on Wednesday for the 28th annual Shop with a Cop event, hosted by the Cobb County Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP).
