South Cobb Labor Day Closings and Tips

Fire up the grill! It's almost Labor Day weekend.

Austell administrative city offices and all Cobb County government offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 3 in observance of Labor Day.

Austell City Council normally meets on the first Monday of each month. This month’s first Monday meeting has been rescheduled to Sept. 10.

If you are heading out of town for longer than a week you can have a police officer check your house in your absence. Residence checks are a service offered by both Austell and Cobb County police departments. A uniformed officer will check your house daily for signs of a disturbance or intruder.
