South Cobb Patch Whiz Kid Headed to Broadway
Back in June, we featured Zach Timson as a rising Broadway star. Who knew his Broadway dreams would be realized just six months later?
Back in June, after being selected to appear in the Timson told South Cobb Patch then that he wanted to be a Broadway actor, and now his dreams are coming true.
The 11-year-old leaves Thursday to rehearse for a month for his new role as in Disney’s national Broadway tour of “Mary Poppins.” Zach will play Michael Banks, the young boy of the Banks family.
Zach told South Cobb Patch he had the chance to meet the director of the tour and the president of the Disney Theatrical Group, Thomas Schumacher, who saw him perform in the Junior Theatre Festival held at the Cobb Galleria in January.
