DeKalb Teen Shoots Sister Twice During Argument: Authorities

A teenager is in jail after shooting his foster sister twice, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office.

STONE MOUNTAIN, GA -- A teenager is in the DeKalb County jail after being accused of shooting his foster sister twice during an argument, authorities said.

Nathaniel Davonte Lopez, 18, of Stone Mountain is charged with three counts of felony aggravated assault and one count of felony battery in connection with the incident, which occurred on Monday, according to the DeKalb Sheriff's Office.

The incident happened during an argument between Nathaniel and his foster sister who also lived in the home on Green Forest Drive with he and his mother. The confrontation escalated into an altercation

The girl was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. Her condition is unknown at this time.
