DeKalb County Chief Executive Officer Burrell Ellis announces the February 2013 schedule for DeKalb’s Mobile Career Center. The center, which is also known as the county’s “Jobs Bus,” will be stationed at various locations throughout DeKalb County during the month of February. The mobile unit supports the ONE DeKalb Works initiative by providing work readiness services and putting DeKalb County citizens back to work.
Through an outreach approach, the mobile unit provides residents with essential services including job search assistance, adult workshops and training, resume writing pointers, and interviewing tips. Businesses are also able to use the mobile unit for recruiting, pre-employment screenings, interviewing, and training. Last month, more than 137 jobseekers were assisted through the services offered by the mobile unit. Below are the Mobile Career Center’s scheduled locations for the month of February:
