Driver Fatally Shot Identified By Gwinnett County Police
A driver who crashed his car into a homeowner's yard after being shot has been identified, Gwinnett County police confirm.
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Gwinnett County police have identified the driver who crashed his car into a homeowner's yard in Stone Mountain after being fatally shot. The victim has been identified as Don Wardlaw, 46, from Stone Mountain, according to police.
"Notification has been made to the victim’s family. Detectives are asking if there are any witnesses who may have seen or heard anything to come forward with any information they may have," police wrote in a news release.
Police said the crash happened Thursday morning on Rockbridge Road in Stone Mountain.

When officers arrived to the scene, they said they found Wardlaw dead behind the wheel with a gunshot wound.
It was not immediately known where the shooting originally took place or where the driver was shot.

Police have not announced any arrests in the case or possible suspects.
