N. Hairston Kroger Getting $1 Million Remodel
The changes are coming as a new Walmart supercenter goes up across the street.

The Kroger store on N. Hairston Road near the intersection with Memorial Drive is getting new décor, moving its floral department, and raising the ceiling as part of a $1 million makeover now underway.
“Kroger has and continues to remodel stores to suit the unique needs of our customers," Kroger spokesman Glynn Jenkins told Patch in an e-mail.
"We want to renovate this location so that we deliver the products, amenities and lower prices our customers appreciate. Renovations will include new décor, relocating the floral department, raising the ceiling for more openness, floor enhancements and other noticeable changes. The store renovations will [begin] in January with a tentative completion date in mid April 2013.”
