A man called police on the afternoon of Sept. 25 and said a vacant retail spot at 5720 Rockbridge Road "had been broken into and that subjects were possibly sleeping inside."
When police arrived, the intruders had already left the building, taking with them an air-conditioning unit and electrical service wires worth a total of $7,000.
An incident report stated a side door was used for entry and exit and that the lock had been broken.
