"The Watsons Go to Birmingham" to Film Scenes in Stone Mountain
The Hallmark Channel movie is scheduled to start filming on E. Mountain Street later this month.
The Watsons are going to Birmingham - but they're also coming to the city of Stone Mountain.
The Hallmark Channel movie "The Watsons Go to Birmingham" is scheduled to film scenes on E. Mountain Street April 29 through May 2, said Susan Ryles, Main Street Stone Mountain executive director, at the city council work session Monday.
Stone Mountain city is no stranger to being a backdrop to film projects, such as The Vampire Diaries. In addition, the movie "The Way We Roll" is scheduled to shoot in the city in May, said David Thomas, president and artistic director at ART Station.
