> The Masonic Lodge in the city of Stone Mountain, 875 VFW Dr., will have its first-Saturday-of-the-month $5 breakfast, open to the community, from 7-10 a.m.

> Journey Projects Opening Reception: Lynn Marshall-Linnemeier at Stonecrest Library, 3123 Klondike Rd. in Lithonia, happens from 2-4 p.m. Visual mythologist Linnemeier focuses on the ancestral history of Lithonia. The event will include a lecture and community discussion.

> Young readers ages 5-8 are invited to "Read to Rover," a therapy dog, from 3-4 p.m. at Stonecrest Library, 3123 Klondike Rd. in Lithonia.

>  "Mommy and Me" Drawing and Painting Class for Little Beginners, 10-10:45 a.m., for Pre-K through second graders, at Hobby Lobby, 1825 Rockbridge Rd. on the Gwinnett county side of Stone Mountain. Cost is $12.

> Work off the calories you consumed at the $5 breakfast. Join the interpretive hike with Ranger Robby, 8-11 a.m., 3787 Klondike Rd., Lithonia. Wear hiking shoes and bring water.
