Weekender: Books, Movies, and Stories Among the Stars
Five things happening in and around town in the next three days.
High school football: on Friday, Sept. 20, the Stone Mountain Pirates travel to Lakewood Stadium for an 8 p.m. kickoff against undefeated Washington.
The movie 'Prisoners' opens at local theatres this Friday, Sept. 20. It was filmed in the area earlier this year and has been getting rave reviews at film festivals in Venice and Toronto.
On Saturday, Sept. 21 at 2 p.m., Fernbank Science Center and the Southern Order of Storytellers will collaborate on Stories Among the Stars, a fund-raising event marking the autumnal equinox.
