Weekender: City Wide Yard Sale, Chick Lit, and More

What's going on this weekend...

May 18: 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. The Village of Stone Mountain invites you to the Classic Car Cruise-In. Street Rods, Trucks, and Classic Cars invited – no fees, just cruise in for fun with other classic car enthusiasts from all over Atlanta. 

May 18: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Spring City Wide Yard Sale on the Baptist Lawn in the center of town. You can still set up by bringing $10 cash and show up around 8 a.m. Come shop or sell, be a part; stay for the car show. Eat breakfast at the Wells Brown House. Drop by the Stone Mountain Old Post Office Emporium for the Parking Lot Sale in the rear of the store at 5379 E. Mountain Street.

May 18: Stone Mountain Historic Society's Annual Pancake Breakfast will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at Wells-Brown House. Cost is $6. Call Rusty Hamby at 404-771-4406 for more info. 

May 18: 10 a.m.—5 p.m. Join the celebration of International Chick Lit Month at Stonecrest Library. The library will host activities throughout the day, including author talks, a chick lit read-a-thon, prize pack giveaways and more. There will also be a special memorial presentation honoring author Miranda Parker.

May 19: The Oak Groove Music Arts and Food Festival will be held in the Vista Grove Plaza on LaVista Road on Sunday from 1 p.m.-7 p.m.
