Plane Makes Emergency Landing On I-985 N In Gwinnett

SUWANEE, GA — An aircraft made an emergency landing on Interstate 985 northbound Tuesday afternoon, blocking all lanes past Interstate 85, according to transportation officials and media reports.

511 Georgia, the traffic reporting agency for the Georgia Department of Transportation, said first responders are on the scene.

Channel 2 Action News reported a plane made an emergency landing on I-985.

It is unknown if there are injuries.

It is unknown how long the lanes will be blocked.

Drivers are urged to use alternate routes, transportation officials said.
