Suwanee School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

SUWANEE, GA— The first day of school in Suwanee is August 6th — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Gwinnett County School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 11/6: Student and Staff Holiday, No School
• 11/19-11/23: Thanksgiving Recess (Schools Closed)

December

• 12/18-12/20: HS Early Release for Exams
• 12/20: End of First Semester
• 12/21-12/31: Winter Recess (Schools Closed)

January

• 1/3: Students Return, Beginning of Second Semester
• 1/21: Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Schools Closed)

February

• 2/15: Student and Staff Holiday
• 2/18: Student Holiday
• 2/20-2/21: K-8 Early Release

March

• 3/29: Student and Staff Holiday

April

• 4/1-4/5: Spring Break

May

• 5/20-5/22: HS Early Release for Exams
• 5/22: Last Day of School
• 5/23-5/24: Required Teacher Post-Planning/Staff Development
