  1. If you would like to have a hand in the creation of the future Hickory Flat Area Park, you can do that through a survey the county set up to collect our feedback. The county not only wants to hear our thoughts on the park, they have offered transparency through the official Hickory Flat Area Park Master Plan website. According to the project timeline, the site assessment has been completed for the 40-acre property, the public input meeting was held last week, and now, the county has presented us a survey to find out what facilities we would like to see in the park. You can complete the survey and watch the project timeline move forward here, we have until June 15. (Cherokee Recreation & Parks)
