CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a male wanted for first-degree attempted murder in connection to a shooting that happened in the Waikiki area.On Sunday, February 6, 2022, at approximately 3:55 a.m., a family was delivering newspapers in the area of Nahua Street and Kuhio Avenue when they observed an assault taking place. When the family went to intervene, a male handed a firearm to another male who then shot at the family’s vehicle numerous times. Through the investigation, the shooter was identified and placed under arrest for first-degree attempted murder. Investigators are now trying to identify and locate the male who handed the firearm and two other males who were in accompany with them.Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call CrimeStoppers at (808) 955-8300.
