Multiple Honolulu clinics are participating, helping residents meet the state’s microchipping requirement and making it easier to reunite lost pets with their families.

New cafe, electric buses blessed at Honolulu airport; looks to make travel smooth, easy (khon2.com) — New upgrades at Honolulu Airport aim to make your trips smoother, with a new Waialua Bar and Cafe now open in Terminal 1 and four electric shuttle buses beginning to replace older diesel models. Officials are also rolling out a permanent digital agriculture form for all domestic arrivals and planning more local eateries, online parking info, and a revamped Diamond Head concourse in the coming years.

Coast Guard Cutter Harriet Lane Returns Home Following 81-day Patrol in Oceania (seapowermagazine.org) — Honolulu’s homeported Coast Guard cutter Harriet Lane is back after an 81-day patrol supporting Operation Blue Pacific, returning to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. The crew sailed over 16,000 nautical miles, boarding fishing vessels and working with Pacific Island partners to deter illegal fishing and protect vital ocean resources.

Matsuzawa just the second Warrior to be AP All-America first team (staradvertiser.com) — Honolulu football fans have another reason to cheer: University of Hawaii kicker Kansei Matsuzawa has been named to the Associated Press All-America first team, only the second Rainbow Warrior ever to earn that honor. After a record-setting season and Lou Groza Award finalist nod, he’s now chasing consensus All-American status while proudly representing both Hawaii and his native Japan.
