Hilo, HI – August 2-4, 2024—It’s summer and the Morales family could be planning a trip to a theme park, the beach, or even visiting grandparents for the weekend. Instead, Pablo and Courteney Morales and their son are eagerly anticipating a three-day convention with a few thousand people who will come to hear exciting, good news!

“This convention is an important spiritual occasion to us,” said Pablo of Kona Hawaii. “We are very appreciative to be able to worship our creator together as a family. And we are looking forward to seeing and feeling the unity and peace with our friends. The program will add to our happiness and refresh us. We’re also ready to enjoy some good food on the Hilo side.”

One of the largest convention organizations in the world returns to Edith Kanaka’ole Multi-Purpose Stadium in Hilo with a much-anticipated motivational program to comfort and encourage the public.

In a world where bad news endlessly streams on social media, TV and radio, Jehovah’s Witnesses will present their 2024 “Declare the Good News”! convention series on the weekend of August 2-4, 2024. The free, three-day live event is expected to draw more than 2,000 attendees to Hilo – fueling the city’s economy with local spending at stores, hotels and restaurants.

“We are excited to work once again with city officials in Hilo to host our convention,” said Robert Lamb, local spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses. “These conventions are a highlight of the year for thousands of people who want to experience some positivity in their lives, and we are happy to have the program in Hilo again, where the aloha spirit lives on.”
