Here are the top stories today in Boise:

  1. Two local men are in custody after the robbery of four boxes of vintage Air Jorden sneakers. A Boise teen met the two men in a local park late at night after an agreement was made to sell the shoes. After the men robbed the teen of the shoes, Ismael A. Aceves, 20, of Nampa, and Danny Borges Santiago, 19, of Caldwell were stopped by law enforcement in Canyon County. They were arrested after the shoes were found in the backseat of the vehicle. 2. Numerous airport personnel, including the Boise Police Department, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Horizon Air, coordinated a motorcade to remove an Idaho veteran's body from an airplane at the Boise Airport after the family was delayed from meeting the plane. KTVB-TV's Jeremy Stiles reports the family was making the drive from Washington to Boise after receiving incorrect information regarding the flight time. After the body arrived with no one present, a motorcade was quickly organized as a way to pay respects and thank the veteran for his service. (KTVB.com)
  3. According to the Boise group, Faces of Hope, one in five teenagers ages 13 to 18 will be victims of dating violence. CBS2 reporter Ariana Pyper writes Faces of Hope offers various resources to teenagers suffering from abuse including medical care, forensic examinations, crisis counseling, support groups, and even 'Hopes Closet,' which offers people the chance to pick out some clothes. (Idaho News)
  4. If you are a lover of a Bialys, downtown Boise will soon be the place for you to visit. LITE-FM's Michelle Heart was downtown and after seeing workers in the location of the previous Kiwi Shake & Bake, discovered the location will soon be the new home of Goldstein's Bagels & Bialys. You will need to read the article to discover if you have ever partaken of a Bialys. (liteonline.com)
  5. If you are a fan of the Idaho Steelheads, you may recall the name Pat Nagle. In addition to playing goalie for the Steelheads, Nagle played for a number of minor league teams for the past 11 years. Fans can now catch him playing for gold as Nagle is a member of the U.S. Olympic hockey team. His journey, including his time in Boise, is chronicled by KIDO's Kevin Miller. (kidotalkradio)
