Fox Ridge Drive, following reports he assaulted someone and fired into a home. Crisis negotiators and SWAT responded before deputies took him into custody; he now faces multiple felony charges related to aggravated assault and unlawful weapon discharge.

Boise unveils four new zoning guides to help residents navigate growth (boisedev.com) — Boise residents now have four new zoning guides designed to make local development rules easier to understand, from backyard ADUs to triplexes and older North End neighborhoods. The city’s illustrated “implementation toolkit” uses relatable Boise characters, classroom examples, and clear diagrams to walk homeowners, renters, and builders through what can be built where, with copies available at all Boise Public Library branches.

3. Need to fix your bike? BoiseDev survey finds most of Boise's fix-it stations are broken (boisedev.com) — Boise’s public bike repair stations along the Greenbelt and around town are often broken, leaving many cyclists stranded with flats or missing tools. A BoiseDev survey found only a handful of the city’s 31 stations fully working, while parks officials say they’re investing staff time and money to keep them repaired and better labeled for users.

Local illustrator selected for Boise Airport public art project (kivitv.com) — Boise illustrator Chad Otis has been chosen to design a large mural for the Boise Airport’s new rental car facility, highlighting the city’s history and future of air travel. The artwork, part of the airport’s 100th anniversary celebration, will be installed in spring 2026 and dedicated on April 6.

5. Snake recovered from Boise hotel room (ktvb.com) — A ball python was recently discovered in a guest room at a Boise Hyatt hotel, and the Idaho Humane Society is now trying to reunite it with its owner. If you recognize the snake, you can visit the shelter with proof of ownership to claim it.
