The weekend edition of the Boise Daily is here and ready for you. Boise Police are investigating a body found downtown, and next week, the Boise City Council will have a first look at a draft proposal for short-term rentals. Boise residents are warned of coyotes this time of year in the foothills, while work is finally starting on the old Bouquet bar in downtown. Finally, Boise's homeless encampment was once again visited by law enforcement.

  1. Boise Police officers are investigating the death of a man whose body was found Thursday afternoon in a downtown alley. KTVB-TV staff report the cause of death has not been determined, but no foul play is suspected. (KTVB.com)
  2. Boise City Council will hold a work session on a new draft of a short-term rental ordinance at next week's meeting. This draft ordinance would set standards for licensing and operation of these rentals within the city. (Boise Patch)
  3. During this time of year, the site of coyotes in the Boise Foothills is common. According to KIVI-TV's Lynsey Amundson, Idaho Fish and Game is asking recreationists and homeowners in the area to take extra safety precautions as testosterone driven males become aggressive during the coyote breeding season.   4. BoiseDev editor Don Day has the great news the project to revamp and restore the historic building that used to house the Bouquet bar in Boise is finally moving forward. Boise native Cal Eliott purchased the building with a vision of a high-end restaurant, bar, and restoration of the long-abandoned hotel rooms in the A.S. Tinner Building at 1010 W.   5. The ongoing homeless demonstration in downtown Boise continues to attract law enforcement. CBS2 news staff report five people were cited for camping-related violations following an Idaho State Police visit Thursday morning. Troopers seized sleeping bags, pillows and some propane tanks and a meth pipe was also found, and police removed bottles of urine, discarded food and used toiletries. (idahonews)
