- Timmothy Morgan, 21, of Boise, has been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 25 years behind bars for the second-degree murder of Lamont "Bam" Rogers. Morgan was found guilty by a jury in February 2023 of fatally shooting Rogers at least eight times at an intersection in Boise, Idaho. The Ada County prosecutor expressed gratitude to the police officers who responded to the scene and the trial team for ensuring justice was served. (Idaho News)
- The Boise Police Department tweeted Tuesday morning that officers found a random horse wandering around Boise. The horse was spotted in the area of Taft and Sycamore. As of Tuesday afternoon, the horse was with the Boise Fire Department's Station #9, and it is unclear whether the owner is for him or if he has a history of running away. (107.9 LITE FM)
- Boise Police Department's Special Victims Unit detectives have arrested three individuals in unrelated investigations for online child enticement in a six-day span. All the victims were under 16 years of age, and the suspects were taken into custody before causing physical harm to the victims. The department hosted a Q&A session to discuss the recent arrests and to provide information on warning signs of child enticement, prevention, and available resources. (KTVB.com)
